Super-galactic travellers,
I've been teaching myself different crochet skills recently, and one that looked really fun was the bobble stitch.
After practising the bobble stitch with the help of some how to videos, I went about making my first pattern to crochet up,
and after a few hours this is what the end result looked like.![]() |
| My camera really didn't like taking a photo of this green... |
And honestly? I was pretty disappointed with how it came out...but that was down to my design not being very good.
Not to be dissuaded, I went back to the drawing board to make my original design a bit more exciting. After some editing, and many hours of crocheting, this is how my little alien in a UFO version 2.0 came out:
And I love it so much!

| Here's the pattern if you'd like to make your own 😊 |
I'm so happy with how the second one came out as, even though it's not particularly big, it took many hours to finish (and nothing worse in crafting then spending ages on something only for it to come out badly 😅).
I ended up making it into a mini pillow by single crocheting both sides together with yellow yarn and stuffing it, which came out so cute!

It could have maybe done with a bit more stuffing, but after fifteen years or so, my bag of stuffing finally ran out! |
While it was a lot of work I really enjoyed working in the bobble style, and I'll be using it a lot more in the future 🛸
