My thoughts on HellBound Books' Anthology of Splatterpunk

Next to found footage, anthologies are my favourite type of horror movies. Films like ABC's of death, the V/H/S series, and classics like Creepshow and Tales from the Crypt hold a special place in my heart (and one in particular that still lives rent free in my head to this day, but that's a story for another time...)

I also enjoy anthology horror books, so decided to pick one out for my next read. But not any horror anthology, it would be a Splatterpunk one.

The undesirables-steak and kidney pudding

There are a lot of foods out there that are often deemed undesirable for all manner of reasons. Maybe they're seen as too unhealthy, low in quality, or old fashioned and have fallen out of favour.

Steak and kidney puddings appear to have become one of the latter.

My thoughts on Fiends In High Places by D.C Farmer

 Warning, spoilers throughout!


For my new year's resolution, I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to read at least one book a month with the help of the Kindle K (my partner) got me for Christmas, and a subscription to Kindle Unlimited.

After a bit of searching, I came across Fiends In High Places by D.C. Farmer.

Because it was a genre I enjoy reading, plus the fact it was on Kindle unlimited, it seemed like the perfect book to begin my new year's resolution with...boy how wrong I was!
